We were driving home from Dallas when we saw this spectacular sunset out in the middle of scrub brush and ranch land. We were fortunate that it lasted over an hour, and we got to chase it home! Just wanted to share it with you.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Beauty!
Ooohhh!!! That is gorgeous!!! Thanks for sharing it!! ❣️
Thank you!
Beautiful! That’s one of the reasons I love West Texas. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Thanks, Janie! I wish you could’ve seen it in person.
So gorgeous! What a treat to see it for an hour. But… You were in Dallas? We were just there!
Yes, but for less than 24 hours for a baby shower. Unfortunately, we had to get home for a funeral.
Oh, I am sorry to hear that. That sky, though, may have been divine consolation for your loss.
So many brilliant shades of orange! It’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
I saw Red sky this morning. Sailor’s warning. Cold front coming to Florida.
Beautiful skies for sure. Always love seeing a high-quality sunset like this one!
Thank you!
WOW! That is so beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful sky.
Spectacular! Hope your weekend is just as beautiful.
Hope yours is too!
Such a brilliant sunset. ANITA

Oh. My. Gosh. How beautiful. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It’s our pleasure Neal!
It’s our pleasure, Neal! Thank you.
Nothing I can add, but Wow!
Stunning pictures! what a wonderful way to follow the light home 🙂
Thank you, Meg! We don’t get to see sunsets like that very often – or ever! Our blog’s signature sunset was taken in the same area several years ago with a better camera.
What a treasure then that you could catch another like it! 🙂
That sky is absolutely fantastic, Kellye. Some of the luckiest people live in houses with gardens and balconies oriented westward and getting to enjoy this magic every day from their homes. Hope you had a lovely weekend.
Thank you, Leighton. For someone who lives on a treeless plain, we can’t see the sunset from our house because the trees and houses block our view. It’s very cool to get out on the open prairie to see a sunset like this one. Have a great rest of your week!
Gorgeous photos
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! I have never seen a sky so red before!
I don’t think we had either. It was more spectacular than the photos show.
Awesome photo Kellye
Sorry I’m late to this 🙂
No need for apologies – everyone is busy, busy!
🙂
A beautiful sunset drive for sure. Better than the glaring November low angle sun. Happy Tuesday. Allan
